Some channel partners may still be going through the transition to a managed services model, but the MSP market is already going through a major shakeup.

As more and more firms move into the space, differentiating yourselves from your competitors is becoming more and more important.

The rapid growth in public cloud adoption – mostly with two providers – means that many MSPs are building out similar capabilities, making this differentiation even harder to achieve.

The vendor market is also in a state of flux, with the largest MSP-focused vendors in the world announcing expansions, IPOs and acquisitions.

Perhaps the largest of these shake ups came in October last year, when Datto and Autotask merged to create a powerhouse in the MSP space.
